This guide provides information on how to submit your final thesis to the Library after examination at Flinders University. Assistance regarding thesis matters not relating to the final submission of your thesis should be directed to the Office of Graduate Research or your College advisor/s.
The Library does not require or accept copies of Honours theses.
Public access to your thesis
All Masters and PhD theses will be made open access (publicly available online) by Flinders University Library for access via FindIt@Flinders. The Library no longer accepts physical copies of theses.
When submitting to the Library, you can nominate a restriction period of up to 36 months with a provided reason. If approved by the Dean of Graduate Research, your thesis will not be publicly available until the approved time period has passed. For more information, see the HDR thesis rules.
The advantages of your thesis being openly accessible include:
- Your thesis is exposed to a global audience
- Access is independent of time, place and computer system/platform
- Theses are protected from physical damage or loss
- There is no cost to you in disseminating your thesis
