Combines the latest research evidence from Clinical Evidence, with peer-reviewed expert opinion and guidelines. Structured around the patient consultation it covers diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and preventions. -
Cochrane Library Contains evidence-based research to inform healthcare decision making. Includes Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials. Library access to this resource is not available from outside of Australia

eTG Complete (Therapeutic Guidelines) Peer reviewed clinical guidelines for prescribing. Includes analgesia, antibiotics, cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrinology, neurology, gastroenterology, dermatology, palliative care, psychotropics & drug prescribing in pregnancy & breastfeeding.

MEDLINE (via Ovid) Provides access to citations from the international biomedicine & life sciences literature. MIMS Online Abbreviated and full medicines information, product images & consumer information for pharmaceutical drugs available in Australia. Updated monthly.

PubMed Biomedical and health citations from MEDLINE, life science journals, and e-books. May include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publishers. Coverage: 1946 to present.

Scopus Scopus is an abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature including scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Focus is on the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities.
Darwin and NT students:
Copies of the main textbooks for the NTMP are held in the Flinders University Library as well as the Charles Darwin University Library and the NT Health Libraries (Royal Darwin Hospital).
Here is a list of the books which are available for borrowing from the CDU library.
After you have registered yourself to use this service, to request items from the Flinders University Library collection:
- Provide details of what you need using the service's online form or phone using their toll free number 1800625856 (voicemail activated after hours).
- Items will be express couriered to you
- You then return the items using the prepaid satchel provided.

Are you on placement?
If your placement takes you outside of the Adelaide metropolitan area, you can register to use our SendIt: Off Campus Library Service.
The service can:
- post you books and/or email you journal articles
- arrange for a student ID card to be made and sent to you
- advise on reciprocal borrowing rights with other university libraries
- help with finding information.
