Journal Articles
Also called scholarly, academic or refereed articles.
Written by academics for an academic audience.
Have gone through a quality control process called Peer Review.

Newspapers
Newspapers cover local news and are available in every country in the world.
Available in print and online formats.
Find them using FindIt@Flinders (print and online) or through the databases Australia and New Zealand Newsstream and Factiva.

Grey Literature
Government reports, conference papers, statistics, standards and many other types of information not published in books or journals.
Most likely not peer reviewed.

Statistics is a collection of mathematical techniques that help to analyze and present data. Statistics is also used in associated tasks such as designing experiments and surveys and planning the collection and analysis of data from these.
