FAQ for Readings

Q: Students can't see the readings list.

A: Make sure you have completed the key step, 'Send for processing' and the list status is at Published.

Q: How long wil my request take to process once sent to library?

A: We will action your request as soon as possible and will depend on action required, length of list and time of year. To assist us to prioritise readings, use the tag 'Urgent - Weeks 1-4', or section your list into week order.

Q: Can I add items to my list after it is published?

A: Yes. You can add to you list at anytime, just remember to send for processing to the library once you have added new items.

Q: Is there a way to automatically notify students that a new reading has been added to the list?

A: The library is investigating options available around notification settings. Currently, notifications have been turned off as we did not wish to spam users.

Q: Can I request books for ordering using the system?

A: If the library doesn't hold the book or item you require, you can add it to the Readings list, however we also ask you to follow the current Textbook (Required and Recommended) procedure as this will then alert both the Library and Co-Op bookshop that multiple copies may need to be ordered. Refer to the Textbook tab in Readings information for Staff in this guide for more information.
